Guess who turned three last week? This blog! Can you believe it? I certainly can't. Time flies! In fact, SWAO's little anniversary really snuck up on me and kind of caught me unawares. But as it turned out, I had been working on this little crochet motif, which I thought was a great example of where the blog/I have been heading.
My crochet skills and overall confidence have been building, and I've been enjoying challenging myself by creating patterns with a little more complexity (like my owl prototype as an example. [And I'm almost done tweaking it, for round 2!]). In fact, I just did a little freelance job creating a jute bowl pattern, which I'll share more about when the time comes!
I certainly wouldn't have come so far without you lovely readers and friends. Your encouragement keeps me going! Thank you so much!! I really enjoy talking to you, answering emails about crochet questions, and seeing the projects you've made from my tutorials. It really is so fulfilling to see that I've inspired someone else into creating something with their hands. I've met so many fabulous people through this blog!
As a little thank you, I'd like to send these little 4.5 inch coasters to some of you! If you'd like one, just comment on this post, and I'll pull four names on next Monday, June 9th. And since I can't give coasters to everyone, I'm going to write up directions for this motif for anyone who wants to give it a try!
Thanks for reading my dear friends!!

ReplyDeleteI do really love this lovely little doily coasters and they're so pretty in all the different colours, with a special soft spot for the pale yellow and orange... though the red is perfect at Christmas and the pink wonderful for a vase of pink flowers.
Lovely, Kate!
