I made this owl pincushion for my Gram who is turning 93 tomorrow! She sews adorable dresses, nightgowns and bathrobes for 18 inch dolls (like the American Girl dolls), so I thought it'd be fun to make her a new pincushion!
I was commissioned to make these woodland creatures by the recipient of my fox and hedgehog animal sets, which were commissioned by my friend to give as a shower gift... You still with me? I've made the squirrel and owl in the past, so it was fun to come up with patterns for the bear, bunny and frog!
I must say, I think the bear is my new favorite!! I hope she's going to like them!

As I was picking a picture to share for today, I came across this one and thought, eh, maybe this is a little too abstract... maybe people won't like it... Well, I then thought all of that was crazy. I really like the composition of this picture and it makes me happy. I shouldn't worry about what other people think! (Don't take that the wrong way- you guys are awesome and I do care what you think... but you know what I mean!)
Have a great Tuesday my friends, and don't let anyone (especially yourself!) get in the way of your happiness!
Remember my Peach Tree Street Experiment in acrylic yarn? Well, I had actually already made a table runner with the same pattern in size 10 thread for a wedding gift! I will warn you now that there may be an excessive amount of pictures in this post as I loved how it came out!
Today I'm sharing a photo I took about a month ago... I didn't have time to take the camera out this weekend as I was busy having fun in my good friend's wedding! Now that it's over, this week I'll start sharing the gifts I made!
