Woodland Creatures

Untitled

I was commissioned to make these woodland creatures by the recipient of my fox and hedgehog animal sets, which were commissioned by my friend to give as a shower gift... You still with me?  I've made the squirrel and owl in the past, so it was fun to come up with patterns for the bear, bunny and frog!

I must say, I think the bear is my new favorite!!  I hope she's going to like them!

  1. Just wonderful, Kate! Before I read your text, I was going to say that I had a special fondness for that brown bear! I love the beige nose with the black tip and his position is perfect and his sleeping side adorable! Let sleeping bears lie!! I love the dip in the owl's head too and his sleeping side makes me imagine him in a leafy tree! All lovely!

  4. Kate, they are so lovely!! Your animals remind me times when my kids played with their wooden choo-choo train :) We had a nice collection of houses, trees and animals , but they weren't half as beautiful as yours, really! I love how you used unpainted portions of the wood as a part of the animal drawing :)

  6. Brilliant, Kate! :-)
I like my favourites are bear and rabbit. All super-sweet, though!
