Apple Doilies

Untitled

Let me guess.  You woke up this morning thinking "gee, I'd love to look at a doily to really get my day going!"  Well my friend, you are in luck. Here's a cute and quick little doily that I made two of (one in the color "natural" and the other in white) for Christmas.  They went to two fabulous ladies who have an apple decor in their kitchens.

For the crochet specifics, I used size 10 crochet thread, a 1.65 mm hook, and the pattern that can be found here. (Ravelry pattern page here.)

These little doilies were pretty quick to crochet!  The only time consuming part was sewing in the ends from the color changes, but it was well worth the final result!

Hope you all are having a great week!

  1. So nice to see your doily work again, Kate! These are two stunners! What a coincidence that two ladies you know have an apple decor in their kitchens. They must have been thrilled with your gifts. They are so beautifully made and I especially like the one with the white thread which looks so fresh against the red and green of the apples!

  6. Oh my goodness. Yes, these are quite lovely, and just the inspiration I needed. I'm not very good at crochet. I wish I had paid attention to my mother who could do it with her eyes closed. Nice job! Aloha

    1. Thank you!! I think crochet is one of those things that takes just a little practice, but in no time you find you can do it without thinking!
      Happy crocheting!!
