Fox Scarf

Untitled

I made this fox scarf by Bees Knees Knitting for my cousin's birthday after she spotted it on Ravelry (pattern page here). You can also purchase the pattern from the Bees Knees Knitting Etsy shop and see all the other different animal scarf patterns there are!

It was a well written pattern, and not very difficult at all. For yarn, I ended up using Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in Burnt Pumpkin for the main body (it was the first time I used a Hobby Lobby yarn, and I was impressed with how soft it was!), Vanna's Choice black for the feet and ears, and the Cream is an acrylic yarn of which I've lost the brand information (sorry!). I was able to find the green buttons that were called for in the pattern at JoAnn, but couldn't find the black ones. Luckily I had some vintage buttons in my stash that fit perfectly!

That face just cracks me up! I recently got a picture of my cousin wearing the scarf, and I'm happy to report that she loves it, and it looks great on her!

Have you guys ever made or worn a scarf that looks like an animal?

  1. Love the fox scarf! It's great! I made a similar one (with a made up pattern!) for my grandson. It turned out great, but unfortunately the yarn was itchy round his neck. Aw!
