Sunday Smiles

Untitled

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I did! We had a birthday party for my Gram who turned 94! (I have a few photos to share... I was having too much fun talking to everyone that I slacked on photos!)

I was at a training conference for most of the day before the party, so I'm so lucky that my sister and mom were able to set up everything with the crazy (and somewhat vague) directions I left them! They made it all look so pretty and made those great cupcakes! (Do you spy something familiar in the photo above?)

I spray painted paper doilies to go under the dinner plates, punched some circles out of paper to spread out on the table for a confetti table runner, and decorated the table with a few colorful cacti! There were also balloons and scalloped crepe paper streamers that I cut following this tutorial. (There were extras, maybe I should hang some up in my room!)

Last week mom and I made 20 party hats with some colorful trims. (Our inspiration can be found here.) Everyone looked great in the hats, and I'm still kicking myself for not organizing some photo shooting as I even made a pretty cool fringe streamer backdrop for that purpose!!

I'm glad other people got some pictures though! I'm not that disappointed in my lack of photo shooting because that's not what was really important anyways! It was just great to celebrate Gram's birthday and have fun with family! So many reasons to smile!
