Sunday Smiles With a Side of Spam and Eggs
I was recently thinking about Sundays, and how despite my dislike for them, because they mark the end of the weekend, I really like my Sunday morning ritual of sitting down with a cup of tea and checking out the weekly secrets on Postsecret.com (and then perusing my favorite sites and blogs of course)! The song Sunday Smile by Beirut then started playing in my head, and an idea was born. What if on Sundays I share different things that are making me smile? (Side note, did you know that even faking smiles can make you feel happy?!)
Well, it may sound funny, but, currently black and white and Scandinavian interior design makes me smile! I'm liking it all so much lately, that I made a Scandinavian cross inspired coaster. I'm seeing the design on wall art and blankets, like in THIS post and THIS post.
For the crochet specifics, I used size 3 thread, a 2.2mm hook and made mini granny squares that were only 2 rounds, and joined as I went. After nine squares were joined, I did 2 rounds of single crochet for the border. Wouldn't a black and white afghan like this look great? Or in the reverse, with white crosses on a black background?
What else is making me smile? I've been getting a lot of spam again on the blog. That doesn't really make me smile, but what does is the irony in the fact that one of my posts on spam got spammed!! Why the internet didn't go up in a puff of smoke when that happened, I don't know! Actually, I kind of miss making fun of the spam. How about I share a couple of the recent ones?
The best way to get his attention is to be a fun, sexy flirt. Regardless of what the reasons might be, you will have to focus on the feelings you would like to recreate with him. When I discovered how to use text messages, my phone became a walking man magnet.
My blog post; Capture his heart free
Time out. Your phone became a "walking man magnet?" Perhaps I'm being too literal, but your phone sprouted legs because of your magical texting skills? Oh wait, you must mean that your phone is a magnet for walking men! Of course... My bad. I can't help but attract men with my text messages too, specifically, the walking variety.

Good idea to give a Sunday Smiles blog entry! Yes, I had heard that faking smiles 'work'! It's also nice if you smile when you answer the phone, it can be noticed through the tone of your voice! "Smiley voice"!
ReplyDeleteI like your Scandinavian cross coaster. I do like those mini-squares!
I hope your Sunday is smiling with you?!
Very pretty black & white coaster! I work in surgery, and even though we wear a mask, you can always tell if someone is smiling or not through their eyes!
ReplyDeleteOoh! So pretty. I love the clean design to your coaster! Very elegant!
