Pencil Holder Makeover

Untitled

Do you have some mesh office supplies in dire need of a new look?  All you have to do is grab some yarn and a needle and start stitching!

I've had the idea to try this ever since I saw THIS tutorial.  I didn't want to directly copy the tutorial which is more cross stitch inspired, so I experimented with different designs, and settled on chevrons and triangles!

The triangle container is my favorite!  Now all they need are some pens and pencils!

Ah, perfect!  I think those pens and pencils are much happier now!

  2. Wow, how cool is this?! It is the first time that I have looked twice at these dust-catchers...thank you for the inspiration! It also occurs to me that doing the same thing to a wastebasket would make a really cool yarn storage container, not that any of us need one of those, ahem :)

    1. Thanks!! And yes, I thought the same thing about a bigger mesh container! That would be brilliant for yarn storage! Haha, and umm yeah, I certainly don't need any more yarn storage hahaha!

  5. What a fun idea! I love the red and pink together and the modern design. The chevron shape is great! The triangles look as if they can't decide which way they're going, though the sunny yellow ones are winning!!!

  6. What a brilliant idea!!! They look great! Now I'm just wondering whether I have anything that could be given a similar make-over.....
