Photo Booth from Bridal Shower

Untitled

So this is the post I alluded to in the bridal shower post.  My dad made this photo booth a couple of years ago for my sister's wedding, and it has been used for two other weddings, and just recently a bridal shower!  (You can see the photo booth in action at my sister's wedding here!)  For the bridal shower, all it needed was some kitchen props (aprons, chef hat, kitchen utensils, potholders...), a colorful polka dotted shower curtain, a colorful polka dotted backdrop, and some chalk board talk bubbles!

I made the chalk board talk bubbles by cutting some thin plywood with the bandsaw, priming them and painting them with a couple coats of chalk board paint.

For one I stamped "recipe for:" with acrylic stamps and white acrylic craft paint.  I thought people could get creative filling it in!

On the back, I used wood glue to glue on little knobs to hold.

And here it is in action!

Gin and Nehill taped up all the paper circles I had pre-cut to make the polka dotted background!  They did a great job!  I then set up my camera on the camera shelf, plugged in my cable release, and the three of us took a couple of test shots to make sure we had all the camera settings ok!

And then it was time for the shower!

Oh!  The pink apron that Kate has on was made by Gin from a vintage pattern!  She ironed on letters that spelled her future Mrs. name!

Above you can see my Gram and mom with me and my sister.  (Gram is going to be 93 in November!  She's pretty awesome.)

And I just had to throw in the last five pictures of the day (of bride to be, bridesmaids and a couple of the groomsmen); they crack me up! But there were so many good photos, and I'm so glad lots of the guests got in there.  I took the pictures from the photo booth and other pictures I took during the shower, and made a Blurb book for Kate!

In conclusion, photo booths are ALWAYS a good time!!
