Bye Bye Google Reader

I've been in denial that Google Reader will soon be no more.  It's retiring July 1st, and that makes me a sad panda.  I'm going to look into Bloglovin first.  Do you guys use it or do you have any other recommendations for blog readers?

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

  1. I read my blogs on my phone and am currently trying feedly and bloglovin. So far feedly is winning. When you first set-up your account you can do it using your Google account so it copies over all the blogs you follow on reader. You can put them into groups and I am still getting used to the swipe to get to the next posts. I don't like the way you go in and out of posts with bloglovin. I still prefer greader on my phone and don't want it to go!

  2. I've switched to Bloglovin'. I actually like it better than Google Reader because you read the posts directly on the blog, which is how the blogger intended them to be read anyways. I also set up a Feedly account, but haven't used it much since I like Bloglovin'. But, if you miss Google Reader, Feedly might be a good choice because it is more similar to our beloved (and soon to be gone) Google Reader.

    1. No, this doesn't affect your blog! I use Google Reader to organize and read all of the blogs and websites I like to read. Bloglovin will do the same thing. You can put all the blogs you like to follow on it, and then just go there to do all of your blog reading. I hope this answers your question!

  6. Hi,
I am a bit lost with this too. I view my blogs etc through blogger itself, so will to changes affect my blog lists etc and who I currently follow. Won't they still feature in my blogger dashboard anymore?
Sorry to be a bit slow on the uptake with this.

  7. I'm reading your post from Bloglovin' - I do really like it, it works better than Google Reader and it has a neat look that almost relaxes me :)
I tried more 'professional' feed readers but I think I'll stick to it...
