More blocks!

This set is all about the circles, and the colors too of course!  It was too much fun playing around with them, so here are several pictures...

Black and White Blocks

Here's one finished set of blocks, well, minus the tray they will sit in and the drawstring bag the whole shabang will go in.  I'm really happy with how well the new block designs work together.  I've been having too much fun playing with them!  Another more colorful set is almost done!

Progress, Thanks, and Questions

Progress-  30 out of 36 complete!  These are a few of my favorite blocks at the moment.  (I just noticed they are all ones with red in them... For some reason I'm so drawn to red right now!)  I now have to add a single crochet border in white, block the squares, and then sew them together.

It's Block Time!

Just look at all that potential!!  Time to sand and paint my reclaimed oak blocks!  (All that's missing here is a picture of me at the table saw with my so-ridiculous-they're-awesome blinged out safety goggles my sister made me!)

Squaring the Big Circle Tutorial

This is going to be my first attempt at writing up one of my own designs.  Because there has been a little more interest in the first blanket I made from this pattern, (and the fact that I was so happy with how it turned out), I thought it would be a great excuse to attempt a written pattern/tutorial to share!

Another WIP

As if I don't have enough Works In Progress...  But sometimes when I get an idea in my head, I just can't help myself!

Crocheted Jars

These jars are a work in progress, like my rocks (update- 88 done so far!).  I'm going to make several jars that will be used to hold flowers, sparklers, and pinwheels at the wedding reception.  I think thin ribbons might look cute woven in between the stitches and tied into a little bow, but I'll have to do some experimenting.

The Wedding Edition of Blocks

I recently made the "wedding edition" of blocks as a little gift while in my block making obsession (which isn't really over)...  The colors are inspired by Gin's wedding colors.  I still need to make a tray to keep the blocks in, but I've been dying to try a little stop motion video with them!
