Crocheted Potholders
My mom had been not-so-subtly hinting she wanted potholders for Christmas, so I found a couple of patterns on Ravelry and made them as a little set.
This is the African Flower Mandala Pot Holder by Crochet with Raymond, which can be found here (Ravelry page here). Great pattern!
This is the Flower Potholder by Jennifer Martin, and is a free Ravelry download here. Great easy pattern, however I have made very similar potholders in the past which made the petals not so tricky for me.
And this is the Tried to Look Pretty Potholder by Karoline Lovald, and is another free Ravelry download here. Also a great pattern, which looks a little more complicated than it really is!
I used Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton Yarn and I believe an F (3.75mm) hook for them all. (If it wasn't an F, it was a G [4.0mm]). I thought they were all quick fun patterns!
I agree : lovely !!!!!

All just lovely, Kate. Thank you for the links!
ReplyDeletePotholders and washcloths are my favorites to crochet. Your potholders are perfectly lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen! They are such great instant gratification projects aren't they?!
DeleteThese are just beautiful! My paternal grandmother (born in the 1880s) made similar potholders, so this brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteThank you! My favorite potholders to make are ones that are vintage, or based on vintage patterns. It's a great way to connect to the past!
