Samantha from The Soucy Empire asked me if I could make a couple of crocheted blocks for her. She's making an afghan for a fundraiser for her cousin Garran who needs a double lung transplant. (You can read more here if you'd like to help! She needs squares by Feb. 6th.) These are the three blocks I just sent to her.

"I've got gadgets and gizmos aplenty. I've got whozits and whatzits galore. You want thingamabobs? I got twenty...." Anyone a fan of Disney's The Little Mermaid? I know a little girl who is, so I made this Little Mermaid for her for Christmas!

Let me guess. You woke up this morning thinking "gee, I'd love to look at a doily to really get my day going!" Well my friend, you are in luck. Here's a cute and quick little doily that I made two of (one in the color "natural" and the other in white) for Christmas. They went to two fabulous ladies who have an apple decor in their kitchens.

I made 9 of these Christmas sets that I gave as gifts! I drew up the patterns, cut them with the band saw from maple (1/2 inch wide), machine sanded, hand sanded, sealed, sanded, painted, painted, painted... and varnished!
On the bottom of the reindeer I put the year, which is something I always love to see on my own Christmas ornaments when it comes time to decorate!
They may not look it, but these little wooden figures do take quite a bit of time. And I think it's so worth it! I love how they turned out! I even really enjoy the process. I always find it amazing when something you think up in your head materializes in person just as you pictured!
Perhaps by next Christmas I'll have an Etsy shop up and going where I can try to sell some of these sets! (I also think I should make a set for myself; I miss them!)

What's cuter than a bear? A bear in pajamas of course!
And the Christmas gift sharing begins! I made this bear for my cousin's baby from a pattern in Ana Paula Rimoli's book Amigurumi Two! This book was the first amigurumi book I ever bought. I think the patterns in it are adorable and easy too!
I recently saw a picture of baby Gavin snuggling with his bear, so I think it's safe to say that he liked it!
Have you guys crocheted anything from Ana Paula Rimoli?
