Today's Photo-Tuesday's photos were taken Thursday after a dinner celebrating my friend Sarah's birthday!  While snapping, "these will be for Photo-Tuesday right?"  Good idea.

Photo-Tuesday

Untitled

Today I have a couple of photos from last week (if you can't tell by the phase of the moon) since I've been a little too busy recently to get my camera out!  (I really wish I had my camera with me the other night when it was really close to the full moon!)

Picot Picot

Picot Picot

Let's talk about picots!  For non-crocheters, picots are those little round knobby things that are often used for decorative edges, and "picot" is pronounced "pee-koh."  How do you crocheters feel about picots?  I personally have a love/hate relationship with them...

A Cactus Grows in Brooklyn

Untitled

What do you get for your sister and brother in law who have the reputation of killing plants but desperately want a green thumb?  A build-your-own-impossible-to-kill-cactus-kit of course!  And what do you do when you don't know where to get such a thing?  You make one of course!

Baby Shower Gifts Part 2 of 2

Framed Crocheted Animals

This project was a collaboration with my dad.  I crocheted the animals (from Crochet a Little with size 3 thread and my trust 2.2mm hook), my Dad made the frames, and together we figured out how to use our new mat cutter!  What follows are some close up pictures of the animals and links to their patterns.  However, I was a dummy and didn't take pictures of the animals before they were put in the frames, so I'm sorry about the photo quality...  It was tricky getting pictures of them through the glass!
